A rebuilding year to a State championship in one season. Pretty incredible, but perhaps expected for state perennial power Euless trinity. In 2007 the Trojans compiled a regular season record of 9-1, and went on to battle their way through an intensive playoff slate that lead up to matches with the likes of Plano and Converse Judson. Despite youth throughout, they overcame what was suppose to be a rebuilding year. With a year and a state title under their belt, they look more then poised to repeat. The question is will they?

2008 leaves a lot to hope for, and a dream with in grasp. That Dream is in fact a repeat of a state title. Surprisingly, the Trojans are stacked with State title varsity tested talent. Instead of going through the usual graduation reloading most championship programs go through after a title victory, they have an astonishing 11 returning starters and several other returning letterman.

They return their most dangerous offensive weapon in Running Back Tray Robinson, who will be the number one going into 2008. With Robinsons' size, and ability to punish and slash defenses, they are poised to maintain that smash mouth running style they have become known for, and one shouldn’t notice any drop in production. Also QB D. McGhee returns as the signal caller after a impressive Junior season as a first year Varsity starter. They have more then enough talent at wide out to be a threat in the air as well as on the ground. The line on the other hand is fairly inexperienced, and will have to gel if they want to keep the hope of a second title with in grasp.

On defense the Trojans return an impressive 5 all district players to an already salty defense. Returning DL Siosasia Tuipulotu (6’2 285) who anchors the defensive line with exceptional size and lower body strength. The secondary, perhaps one of the best in the state, is laced with Talent starting with Texas Commit Eyron Barrent who exhibits great size for his position. Saftey Prinz Kande is also returning, he received all district honors in 2008. All in all the Trojans appear more then ready to defend their title. Not to many questions need to be answered, and when that is the case luck is easier to find.
